BYU fan fest

Out of 6 places--6 places!!!!!--in the entire United States, Pleasanton was a host city for the BYU Fan Fest.  WOO HOO!!

 First item of business--meet Ty Detmer (!!!), BYU's new Offensive Coach.

 I might've been his biggest fan in the early 90's.

Throw, Ty, throw! 

 Jake got to meet and chat with head BYU basketball coach, Dave Rose and new player, Elijah Bryant.

And a super awesome treat that we did not expect was to see some old Issaquah friends--Ben and Kara Pyper and Mike and Sarah Johnson.

LOVE how BYU brings fellow fans together.

Mother's Day at Alisal

I got to attend a special Mother's Day program at Alisal put on by my favorite 2nd grader!  It was adorable.

Outdoor Ed--
A week I did dread.

Before and After

5 days and 4 nights,

Out of house, out of sights.

New to the school,

New to the state.

No parents allowed?

This I did hate.

But she went

And she loved it,

 

She conquered

And toughed it.

 A vict'ry for ALL

And that's nothing small.

 She's brave

And she's kind

So happy

She's mine!

Sarah Mlynowski came to the Pleasanton library.  I think it was Emmy's favorite night EVER.  Maybe one day when Emmy is an author, she will remember this night and count it for inspiration.
