For President's Day weekend, we went over to Sunnyside to see Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Gary and the cousins. We played and played and played! Grandma had a special dinner on Sunday for us. It was her "I love you" dinner complete with the Valentine's Day tradition of big heart-shaped sugar cookies that she made for us every year growing up. We felt pretty spoiled.
I didn't make heart-shaped pancakes (I know, I'm a terrible mother), but I DID make 3 different dinners for Valentine's Day! Jake's favorite: chicken roll-ups with gravy; Ali: swirly twirly mac and cheese; Emmy: cheese pizza. Drew just got to eat baby food.
Steve and I went out for a night of kickboxing with friends! It was so much fun.
Ali and Emmy made these roller skates to take a leisurely stroll across the hardwood floor tonight. Legos, some ribbon, and a pair of rain boots was all they needed. And a little bit of creativity.
